Wildheart Organics sells aromatherapy candles and hand-made fragrance products to a range of wholesalers, retailers and online customers, both in the UK and beyond. Wildheart was looking for a complete overhaul of their web presence and also a change of technology, to move away from WordPress and the associated support overhead to a modern CMS. Sandlebridge recommended Shopify and we developed two websites: a consumer facing site and a trade site for wholesale.

Excellent experience from start to finish, we were delighted with our e-commerce site. Background

Wildheart approached Sandlebridge to see if we could provide a better solution to their ageing WordPress site. Not only did the website need many plugins to provide the functionality required, it also meant a very high maintenance cost associated with keeping these plugins updated and the site secure.

Problem to be solved

Wildheart required a much improved eCommerce solution, one that would work for consumers and trade customers. This meant providing the capability for multi pricing of products, differing terms and conditions and conditional logic for minimum order values and promotions. We started the process by doing a deep-dive into their requirements to really understand what the client needed and what could be provided within the budget guidelines given. We shortlisted six candidate eCommerce platforms, before settling on Shopify as the best fit for their needs.

Solution

Our solution was to build two sites that share a common design theme: one for retail customers and the other for trade. We designed a responsive template, with much improved navigation and content organisation. The websites provided additional new features, such as reviews management and inventory control. The website was also integrated with their Mailchimp account to provide segmented campaigns to carry relevant promotional offers. The client also now has more powerful shipping rules, discount codes and easy control over website content. Sandlebridge provided full training and ongoing support.

In the six months since launch, sales increased by 65%. Abandoned baskets reduced and trade customers are now able to bulk order online 24/7
