The Brief

Following the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020 Sandlebridge was tasked with re-developing both hotel websites to reflect a change on emphasis - away from tourist breaks and more towards satisfying the needs of a more localised audience.

Further, there was a need to change the imagery and tone of voice to re-assure visitors to the hotel that every safety precaution had been taken and that their visit would be a safe one.


Sandlebridge re-designed the site and built in additional features, to allow fast and flexible messaging and announcements. As well as a re-designed template, we integrated the Best Western payments widget into the site, built new image galleries and simplified the navigation.

The Keavil House Hotel also has a separate Health Club and Spa and Sandlebridge added in the capability for members to book gym and swimming sessions online. This sophisticated back end system can control the number of sessions available each day and present health club management with reports and calendar to see which sessions are fully booked and which ones need further promotion,. This cost-effective solution was rolled out in under 2 weeks from briefing to deployment.

The website is built on the Webflow CMS and this provides the client with easy to use tools to keep content fresh. It's also incredibly flexible when new features and functionalities need to be added.


As part of an ongoing content marketing campaign for The Keavil House Hotel, we developed a blog on the website and have produced a series of blog articles, with two articles developed each quarter.

The blog articles are created from concept generation, to come up with ideas that will drive traffic to the website, through research, data collection and copywriting to promotion via social media platforms and the website.

The articles are also optimised with keywords to support the search marketing campaign which operates alongside the content marketing.


We provide regular reports on the impacts of the blog articles on site traffic and search rankings for targeted keywords, but also the level of engagement.

This includes in which channels the article was promoted and from which channels there was most success in driving traffic. Not only does this help in understand how successful a particular campaign was, it also helps inform future campaigns to maximise engagement.


In addition to writing blog posts we have lead interactive social media engagement campaigns, such as selfie competitions, which lead to followers on Twitter and Facebook sharing the competition and sending in photos.
